1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how SAKREE L.L.C., a Virginia limited liability company ("Sakree," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use the Sakree mobile application.

By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide: We collect your email address, name, date of birth (displayed as age only), gender (used for matching, not displayed), and pronouns. We also collect profile information including your home base location, life stage tags, interest tags, planning style, availability, photographs, and prompt responses.

When you interact with other users, we collect Guided Session responses, chat messages, meetup details, and kudos. We also collect safety reports you submit and block actions you take.

Information Collected Automatically: We collect usage information (screens viewed, features used, time in app), device information (model, OS version, app version), and a one-time location check during onboarding to verify DMV eligibility.

Sensitive Personal Information: We collect precise geolocation (home base coordinates) during onboarding, used solely for matching you with nearby users.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the service (account management, matching, communication, notifications), improve the service (analytics, bug fixes, algorithm improvements), keep you safe (reviewing reports, blocking abusive users, preventing spam), and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use advertising identifiers to track you across other apps. We do not track your real-time location.

4. Information Sharing

Service Providers: We share information with Supabase (database and authentication), PostHog (analytics), OneSignal (push notifications), and Apple (App Store distribution). These providers are contractually required to protect your information.

Other Users: Your profile is visible to matched users. Chat messages and Guided Session responses are visible only to your connection partner. Your email, exact location, and date of birth are never visible to other users.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect safety.

5. Data Retention

We retain your profile data while your account is active. Messages, Guided Session responses, and meetup details are deleted 90 days after a connection ends. Photos are deleted immediately upon account deletion. Individual analytics events are deleted after 12 months.

When you delete your account, we retain data for a 30-day grace period (allowing recovery), then delete from active systems. Backup copies are deleted within 90 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information. You may request a copy of your data in machine-readable format.

To exercise your rights, contact us at info@sakree.com. We will verify your identity by sending a code to your registered email. We respond to requests within 45 days.

7. State-Specific Rights

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, delete your information, correct inaccuracies, opt out of sharing, and limit use of sensitive information. We do not sell personal information. We share usage data with PostHog for analytics; opt out by emailing info@sakree.com with subject "Do Not Share My Data."

Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah Residents: You have similar rights under your state's privacy laws. To exercise rights or appeal a denied request, contact info@sakree.com.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, row-level security controls, authentication requirements, and rate limiting.

No system is completely secure. If you believe your account is compromised, contact us immediately at info@sakree.com.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is intended solely for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we become aware a user is under 18, we will delete their account and data immediately. Report suspected minors to info@sakree.com.

10. Data Breach Notification

If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify affected users as expeditiously as practicable via email, report to authorities as required by law, describe the affected data, and explain remediation steps.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email before changes take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
